Progress Report

Our education system has witnessed tremendous change. From the Vedic system of education of Guru and Gurukul, we have come to digital world and pacing with the times is the need of the hour. Here at DDPS we have altered our vision, perspective & outlook. We have marched along  a path and  still have to cover a long distance with new missions & goals.

The academic year 2016-17 has been good with record progress in academic, sports, co-curricular & improvement of infrastructure  and facilities. The school takes care of the all round development of the child’s personality. Thus our students excel in academics as well as in extra co-curricular activities

AISSE students who are the 20th batch of DDPS did remarkably well with 100% pass percentage,and AISSEE 18th batch with Garima Chauhan being the school topper in Biology group with 94.8%, Ashutosh Bishnoi in maths group with 94.4% and Prajjwal in commerce group with 87.4%.

The highest score in class XII were attained by Ashutosh Vishnoi and Garima Chauhan in English (95) Shruti Kumari in Hindi (96) Manvee Agarwal, Vibhooti  Shekhawat, Ashutosh Vishnoi and Utkarsh Kumar Singh in Physics (95) Ashutosh Vishnoi and Utkarsh Kumar Singh in Chemistry (95) Garima Chauhan  in Biology (97), Ashutosh Vishnoi in Mathematies (98), Paras Gaur, Shivang Choudhary in Physical Education (99), Yuvraj Naman in Computer Science (79), Rangoli Agarwal in Accountancy (95) Prajjawal in Economics (93), Sakina Naqvi in Business studies (89), Aditi  Choudhary  in Painting(99).

Twenty five students of class X Aditi Manvi, Aditi Chaudhary, Anirudh Kumar Singh, Anmol Tyagi , Anubhav Rana, Apoorv Agarwal, Ashmit Negi, Ginni Gandharv, Harsh Chaudhary, Harshit Gupta, Isha Bhardwaj, Kartikey Rathi, Manvi Kaushik, Navodit Rai, Nishant Chaudhary, Raghav Rana, Rushil Kumar Pippal, Saumya  Vishnoi, Shashank Shekhar, Shreya Saraswat, Subham Raghu Vanshi , Sukalp Vishnoi, Swarnlata Gautam, Vaishali  Chaudhary , & Yash  Chaudhary got perfect C.G.P.A 10.

Terms like innovation, leadership, creativity, problem solving, decisions  making and collaboration have become synonymous with quality education. DDPS provides all opportunities to its students for their personal growth and to work for the social welfare. They are inspired to actively participate in the welfare schemes started by the Govt & to volunteer themselves

In an effort to be a part of the clean India campaign’  an array of activities were organized including painting prominent city walls, Oath taking and writing a pledge to observe and maintain cleanliness. The activities were conducted under the directives of the Govt. administration

Its our belief that we must not leave the fine touch of moral values with materialistic advancement, So the school arranges for regular moral lessons, it includes due emphasis on school assembly and conduction of “sanskar Shalas”. The school contributed the sum of Rs 84000 for the care of the needy senior citizens irrespective of race, religion, caste or creed to “HelpAge India”, an NGO which works for the cause & care of the elderly. The school received a “Certificate of Appreciation” for social concern and stimulating awareness.

Work education is a distinct area for students for participation in social economic and welfare activities. Students are encouraged to be the torch bearer of light of education. Work education is imparted through various activities.

As we all agree it is time for schools to share collaborate and connect, The school is a member of the Sahodaya school complex which is a group of neighbourhood  schools voluntarily coming to share their innovative practices aimed at excellence  in education. Mr Surajit Saha, the school Principal is the secretary of Bijnor Sahodya School Complex.

Our vision is to develop Innovative, Engaging, Application and technology based programmes for students. CONSTRUKT which is a renowned name in the field of education as it develops novel ways of learning for students has been conducting Robotics workshop and science projects activity at regular basis during the current year

Learners empowerment  needs focus on collaborative practical and research based approach. The Teachers training programme on “Life Skill”  was organized in the school fifty teachers participated  in the training  workshop .The resource persons were Ms Sarita M. Bembey, Principal DAV public school Dehradun, and Anita Raturi,  Principal  Foothills Academy Rishikesh Uttrakhand.

A Parent-Teacher Association has been formed to look into the suggestions and complaints of parents. Apart from regular PTMs the association holds separate meetings to devise and discover ways to transform to keep moving ahead with child - centered education.

Only a healthy body is an assurance for healthy mind. Hence every child at DDPS is guided groomed and trained to shine their latent sports skills. The school keeps organizing various events to fulfill the aim. Yoga and Taekwondo classes help students to maintain balance between the mind and the body. Our students have won honoured position at district Zonal & state levels.

Literary and cultural activities too are given due important. The school every year organizes Inter- school English debate competition to give platform to students for elocution. Year after year our students have been attaining winners position.

Shreya  Saraswat of class X secured  third  position  at zonal level in All India essay writing event 2016 organized by united nation information centre.

Slogan writing competition, Quiz competition, poster making competition, Debates and discussion were held during the previous academic year as per direction by DIOS & CBSE with an aim of maximum students participation.
